IBD and its subsidiary EODC introduced its 4th generation NanoTechnologies to the Canadian armoured vehicle market.

The nano-materials comprise ceramics, steel and composites with significantly improved ballistic performance. These improvements allow for drastic weight reductions to the benefit of vehicle mobility and payload.

These advantages are of particular interest in view of the Canadian vehicle programs CCV, TAPV and MSVS/SMP.

The new technologies are already qualified and applied. Therefore ultra light protection solutions for the Canadian applications can easily be adapted.
